Alex MacLean is founder of East Coast Lifestyle, a clothing company. Early in the life of this start up company, Alex was spending between three and four hours every day at the post office doing online orders. His social media posts were growing every day and more and more people were trying to get the products which initially included shirts, caps and hoodies. The existing manufacturer did not have enough production capacity to fulfill demand. The challenge facing Alex was to figure out how to increase supply so that demand could be fulfilled. They had an online store where they sell products all over the world every day. They also sell through retail locations. Pseudio is a retail chain that sells its clothing in 30 different locations in Atlantic Canada. Sales were going well but Alex really needed to figure out how to grow the brand and how to expand. Sarah Anderson is a Justice of the Peace and former owner of East Coast Pop Up Weddings located in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. In her first year of operation, she encountered a couple who had made a choice of a wedding venue location but then on the day of the big event were very unhappy with their choice and put the blame on her company. Her challenge moving was how to manage this situation given that the couple had share their discontent on social media.
