Ryan Oxner is the Development and Communications Coordinator in the Wolfville, Nova Scotia office of L’Arche Home Fires. The organization supports adults with intellectual disabilities. The organization runs a small walk-in retail store with the aim of generating revenue. Unfortunately, it is currently not meeting expectations. Ryan’s challenge is to come up with a viable path forward.

Brendan MacNeil is the Manager of the Launchbox located at Acadia University in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia. Launchbox creates introductory opportunities to entrepreneurship for students. The challenge facing Brendan is how to attract non-business students to the initiatives run by his organization. In this multimedia case, Sreejatta Chatterjee, Head of Product at Leadsift, a small Halifax, Canada based data analytics firm grapples with a particularly difficult situation. Recently, the company found itself running out of money with a product that was not performing. It was not a good fit for the market and it was not selling. She and her colleagues knew that they had to create a new product/API. They also knew that her small but talented team could do it. But they did not have the money and hence the time.
